Privacy policy
Your data, your control.
Siteovo handles construction project data — variations, schedules, chat history, financials. We take that seriously. Here’s how we handle it. Plain English.
1. What we collect
Account info (name, email, company), project data (schedules, tasks, variations, EOTs, financials), chat messages and photos sent through the Siteovo app, usage data (which pages you visit, which features you use).
2. How we use it
Only to provide the service. We never sell your data. We don’t use your project data to train AI models for other customers. Aggregate, anonymised metrics may inform product improvements.
3. Australian data residency
All data hosted in Australian data centres (AWS Sydney region). Siteovo complies with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.
4. Security
Encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Audit logs on all data access. Role-based access controls. Regular security reviews.
5. Third parties
Siteovo uses a small set of trusted infrastructure providers: AWS (hosting, Sydney region), Anthropic / OpenAI (AI inference, Australian deployments where available), Postmark (transactional email, AU-region). We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms beyond essential operational use.
6. Your rights
Access your data, correct inaccuracies, delete your account (with 30-day grace period), export your data in standard formats. Submit privacy requests via the contact form — select “Privacy / security” from the dropdown.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active, plus 7 years after closure for audit trail compliance (a regulatory expectation in the Australian construction industry).
8. Cookies
Essential cookies only (authentication, session). No tracking cookies, no third-party advertising cookies.
9. Children
Siteovo is for business use; not directed at children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
Material changes notified by email to active account holders 30 days in advance.
11. Contact
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, use the contact form and select “Privacy / security” from the dropdown.

Placeholder note: this is a starting-point privacy policy. For production launch, this will be reviewed by an Australian privacy lawyer.
